What is manufacturing quoting software?
Quoting software turns a CAD file or drawing into a price. It reads the geometry, applies your rates for material, machine time and finishing, and produces a quote your customer can accept. Phasio does this for CNC machining, 3D printing, injection molding and jobs that mix several processes.
Does Phasio work for CNC, 3D printing and injection molding?
Yes. Additive is usually priced on volume and build space, CNC on machine time and setups, and molding on tooling and cycle time. Phasio supports each of these, and a single quote can cover a part that goes through more than one process.
How is Phasio different from other quoting software?
Most quoting software stops when the quote is sent. Phasio also runs the job on the shop floor, so it knows how each part was made, how long it took and whether it made money. When a similar part comes in, your quote starts from that history instead of from scratch.
Do I have to use Phasio's pricing model?
No. Phasio is designed around the idea that your pricing is yours. Bring your existing equations, hourly rates, material costs and overheads. We will translate them into an automated system and run them on every quote you send.
What file formats does Phasio accept?
STEP, STL, IGES, X_T, 3MF, OBJ and 2D drawings as PDF or DXF. CAD files are analysed for volume, bounding box, surface area, feature count, wall thickness and undercuts. Drawings are scanned for tolerance, finish and material callouts.
Can non-technical staff use it?
Yes, and that is the point. Roughly 60% of contract manufacturers have quoting staff who are not machinists or engineers. Phasio gives them checks and sensible defaults, so they can quote with confidence without calling the shop floor for every part.
How does Phasio handle parts we've quoted before?
Every quote is retained. When a customer sends a part that resembles one you have quoted before, Phasio surfaces the previous quote, the price it sold at, and whether it was profitable. You can re-issue with one click.
Can I review or override an automated quote?
Always. Phasio produces a draft quote, and your team reviews, adjusts and sends it. You can also set a margin floor, so any quote below it goes to a senior reviewer first.
