BEND DETECTION
Use bend measurements from the CAD file.
Turn on bend analysis for a process. For supported solid CAD files, Phasio reports detected bend count, sheet thickness and blank area, plus the radius, angle and length of detected bends.
- Per-bend detail. Price tight radii or long bends differently from standard ones.
- Blank area. Base material cost on the size of the blank, not a bounding box.
- Flat parts too. A part with no detected bends can still be priced by the same process.
PRICING
Use your shop’s material and bending rates.
Bending values are available in process, post-process and order-level equations. Charge per bend, per setup, per kilogram of sheet or any mix, with material and thickness options from your own library.
- Consistent pricing. Set a rule for each process and apply it to future uploads.
- Customer-specific rates. Give key accounts their own equations and material rates.
- Review when needed. Hold unusual parts for review, with the price hidden until you set it.

How does Phasio detect bends?
When bend analysis is on, Phasio checks supported STEP, IGES, SolidWorks .SLDPRT and Parasolid .x_t files for bends. It reports detected bend count, sheet thickness and blank area, with measurements for the bends it finds.
Can I use bend data in my prices?
Yes. Bending values are available in process, post-process and order-level pricing equations, so you can charge per bend, by bend type or by blank size.
