Repeat customers are the most valuable customers a service bureau can have — and also the ones most likely to experience friction that shouldn't exist. When the same part gets uploaded, re-specified, and repriced on every order, that's time taken from the customer and time taken from your team. For customers who reorder regularly, the specifications don't change. The process shouldn't either.
Phasio's customer-specific catalog lets you store a library of predefined parts against a customer's account. Each entry has the file, the technology, the material, and the price locked in. When that customer reorders, the part is already there.
GETTING STARTED
Navigate to the Customers tab, open the customer's details page, and select the Catalog tab. Click + to add a part, upload the file, select technology and material, set pricing to either Automated or Manual, and save. The part is now available in that customer's catalog for future quotes and orders.
WHAT CHANGES FROM DAY ONE
Once a part is in a customer's catalog, it carries its full specification: the file, the process, the material, and the agreed pricing. Quoting a reorder no longer means starting from a blank file upload. The part is already defined.
For customers with a set bill of materials — a production run of the same brackets, housings, or fixtures every quarter — the catalog is their part library within your platform. It's the reference point for both sides: you know what was agreed, and they can reorder against the same spec without a back-and-forth on materials or pricing.
Pricing on catalog parts can be set to Automated (following your pricing equations) or Manual (a fixed agreed price). For customers on long-term contracts or volume agreements, Manual pricing locks in the negotiated rate and keeps it consistent across every reorder, regardless of how your standard pricing changes.
WHY IT MATTERS
Without a catalog, repeat orders carry more overhead than they should. The customer re-uploads the file. You re-select the spec. Someone checks that the pricing matches what was agreed. For a customer who orders the same part six times a year, that process runs six times.
The catalog removes the spec-and-price step on every reorder. It also reduces the risk of inconsistency: the same part, priced the same way, with the same manufacturing spec, every time. For customers who care about traceability or cost predictability, that consistency is part of what they're paying for.
For the shop, catalog customers take less time per order. For the customer, reordering feels like it should — straightforward.
